About INNOVATE PERFORMANCE

I’m Paul Belfield, the person behind Innovate Performance. With a lifelong passion for motocross and enduro—whether racing at the club level or watching the pros perform at the highest level—I decided over 10 years ago to pursue a career in the industry. I started working on motorcycles, with the goal of becoming a well-rounded mechanic. Completing a three-year apprenticeship with Suzuki UK at a respected multi-franchise dealership. With this as a strong foundation, I then threw myself into the pro racing side of Motocross. I took a full-time position as a mechanic with SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, traveling across the UK, Europe, and America. I had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best riders, including Josh Gilbert, Joel Rizzi, Evgeny Bobryshev, and ‘Mr. Showtime’ himself, Charlie Putnam.
After three years with the team, I joined one of the UK’s top suspension companies while remaining involved in the British Championship. During this time, I worked with Ben Franklin at Chambers Racing and Isaac Gifting at 426 Motorsport.
Five years after moving away, I decided it was time to return home to my family and friends in North Wales. Innovate Performance was founded in November 2024, and I’m excited to apply the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the past ten years in this next chapter.
